Application of solid thermal-storage type electric boiler in the air conditioning system for an office building in Qingdao

Presents the solid thermal-storage type electric boiler, and combined with the Shandong (Qingdao) International Shipping Center Project, analyses the economy and energy efficiency for the air conditioning system compared with the efficient gas vacuum hot water boiler. The results show that the solid thermal-storage type electric boiler features low annual operating cost and significant economic benefit in the whole life cycle. Furthermore,as the solid thermal-storage type electric boiler uses the off-peak electricity, it improves the efficiency and stability of local power grid while reduces the loss of the grid, and achieves the goal of energy-saving and emission-reduction.
